Facile Manufacturing Route for Magneto‐Responsive Soft Actuators

Magnetically driven soft actuators are unique because they fast, remote-controlled, conformal to rigid objects, and safe interact with humans. Despite these multiple functionalities, a broader utilization of such is hindered by the high cost equipment-intensive nature currently available manufacturing processes. Herein, simple fabrication route for magneto-responsive described using cost-effective broadly raw materials equipment. The method utilizes castable silicone resins that loaded magnetic particles subsequently magnetized under an external field. experimental investigation silicone-based composites prepared distinct chemistries, sizes, morphologies enables identification magnetization conditions required process. This leads functional programmable patterns capable performing pick-and-place, lifting, catching, moving tasks remote action By removing hurdles associated costly equipment, proposed approach expected facilitate design, implementation, exploitation functionalities magneto-controlled in wider number applications.
